Our approach

We are a diverse collective of student psychotherapists committed to making therapy more accessible. Our clinic offers a range of therapeutic modalities and supports clients across various lived experiences, identities, and price points—ensuring care that is personalized, compassionate, and grounded in respect. All clinicians are completing their practicum under the close supervision of Tala El-Achkar. Her approach is shaped by psychodynamic, somatic, and trauma-informed frameworks, and rooted in relational, politically conscious, and culturally aware care.

“Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.”

In-person and remote options

Our office is conveniently located in Downtown Toronto. Can’t make it into the office? No worries – we’ve got you covered with virtual therapy.

Student Practicum

We welcome practicum students seeking a dynamic and thoughtfully structured training experience. Our program is designed for those preparing to enter private practice and offers opportunities to work with clients both virtually and in-person at our downtown Toronto location. Supervision with Tala integrates clinical guidance with mentorship on the practical aspects of building a sustainable practice. In addition to case consultation, students receive support with business systems, profile development, and therapeutic presence—equipping them to grow with skill and clarity. If our approach resonates, we’d be glad to connect.

Meet Tala

As a clinical supervisor, I support students in developing confidence, depth, and a grounded sense of who they are becoming as therapists. I offer a training environment where thoughtful risk-taking, curiosity, and steady reflection are encouraged. As a psychotherapist, I work with individuals navigating identity, intergenerational trauma, ambiguous loss, and diasporic experience—offering care that is collaborative and attuned to the layers people carry.
